Spring booster Covid vaccinations for over 75's are taking place at Grey Gable Surgery.  You will be sent a text from us with an 'accurx' link for booking.

Access to the surgery and GP appointments

Please do not enter if the surgery you have Covid-19 symptoms, have been told to isolate or are awaiting a test result.  When entering the surgery please wear a mask, sanitise your hands. Do not arrive early for your appointment due to limited space in the waiting room. 

If you have an urgent matter if possible please call before 10am and you will receive a call back from the duty doctor.  By calling before 10am it allows the doctors to manage their workload and for our team to process any medication necessary on the same day.  Thank you.

Face to face appointments with the GPs without a prior telephone call are available however they can no longer be booked online due to untested patients with covid symptoms booking online and arriving at the surgery.  This puts our clinicians and our ability to provide a service to all our patients at risk.

Open Access will remain as telephone appointments as we now deal with more patients on a daily basis than we have room to seat.  Please be assured that our GPs are seeing every patient that needs to be seen.

Please be patient while we go through a period of staff shortages due to high rates of covid locally (as at April 2022).  Any abuse of our staff may lead to removal from our surgery and from our registered list. 

Covid vaccination status (passport)

We are unable to issue vaccination status certificates at the practice.  Please see https://www.gov.uk/guidance/demonstrating-your-covid-19-vaccination-status-when-travelling-abroad for further information.

Proof of your vaccination status will be available on the NHSapp. The NHSapp can be downloaded from https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/nhs-app/id1388411277 for iPhone or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nhs.online.nhsonline for android.

The NHS COVID Pass service is now available to 12-15 year olds, accessible via NHS.UK for those aged 12 and over, and the NHS App for those aged 13 and over. This is an addition to the letter service via 119 that was launched in December.

Alternatively you can call the NHS helpline on 119 (from 17 May) and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine, the letter may to take up to 5 days to reach you.

To use Patient Access to order your prescription online please click here. To register for Patient Access, please contact the surgery so that your unique PIN can be issued.

You may also wish to use the NHS App for ordering your repeat prescription.  Please note when registering for the NHS App, when asked if you have a letter from your GP practice, you can select 'No' and proceed to register using your driving licence or passport.

Please allow 2 working days for your prescription to be processed.

Please note that if you order your prescription on a Saturday or Sunday the request will not be received by the surgery until Monday morning and so your prescription should be ready for collection on Thursday.

Please do NOT call the surgery to ask if your prescription is ready for collection.  Please wait 2 working days before coming to collect.  We will contact you if there is a delay.
