How to get your results.

Most test results are now available on the NHS App, as well as a whole host of other information and advice, especially Covid-19 related advice. The app can also be used from your browser on desktop or laptop computers.

By Phone

If your test was requested by a hospital consultant please call the consultant’s secretary for your result (which returns directly to the consultant).

For tests requested by your GP, please call the Practice on 01386 793007 after 2pm to obtain a test result from reception. Most test results, including blood and urine, take between 3 to 7 working days to come back to the Practice from the hospital laboratory. Some x-ray results take between 2 to 3 weeks to be processed. 

Blood tests may be processed by more than one laboratory with results returning to your GP on different days, hence you may receive more than one follow up message from us.

Sometimes the Doctor will suggest that you make an appointment to be given the result or that they need to speak to you directly. The receptionists will advise you if this is necessary. You can only be given your result once one of the doctors has seen it.
